Where should I Find Destiny?

I was taking a morning stroll in the park near my house. The weather was cool and soothing. Children were playing and ladies were trying hard to shed those extra pounds. Some people were laughing like anything, which was a part of their exercise, I suppose.

I was also in a good mood as today was my brother’s wedding. Soon I sat on the bench to take a breath. It seems like me and brother was in the school and both of us were known for our escapades in our neighbor. But now he was getting married. I was really happy for him and was gifting him a new car on this auspicious occasion. But I was little confused as to: Which color should I choose for the car? Which brand I will take…

Suddenly a loud voice interrupted my thoughts. Somebody was screaming on the highest pitch.  “Where should I find destiny?”I was eager to know from where the voice was coming. As my patience was killing my nerves, I found a little girl shouting: “Where should I find destiny?”

I was quite muddled on her behavior and even more curious. This time I asked her, why are you saying like this, little girl?Where should you find the destiny? – What does this mean?

Girl: My mother told me that with destiny we will get back our house, our car, my bicycle and toys.

I: Who has taken your belongings?

Girl: I do not know much, but heard one day as my mom and father were having an argument. My mother was saying that it’s only because of my dad that we are in such a dire state of poverty…It’s only due to his extravagant habit and careless attitude towards money but my father was saying that he has done all this for us.But I do not know why mother says that it’s due to our destiny. I am unable to find it as I have never seen it.

I was cursing her father about his spendthrift habits. There was an old man who was listening to our conversation. He said to the little girl with a smile that it was neither her father nor the destiny that is responsible for their condition.I asked angrily then who is responsible for them. It’s only destiny and her father that who is solely responsible for their condition.

Old man: No my son, it’s not her father but both the husband and wife are responsible for this. Taking care of the finances is not the responsibility of one member; it’s the whole family who has to keep a track on the finances.Couples should handle the financial aspect with care.

money management

I: Can you explain in detail?

Old: There are certain money management tips which prove to be vital for married couples.
First of all, discuss the financial matters on frequent intervals. Finance being the vital matter of your life, both the partners should not end up in a financial altercation. Rather they should make a plan which should clearly match their needs with earnings.

Second, Do disclose the financial matters to your partner. Both the partners should know the spending of the other and accordingly figure out the ways so that the extra spending could be circumscribed.

Third, both the partners should keep a tab on their finances during every month. This way they can keep a track on their finances and would be able to figure out where the expenses have been incurred rather ending up in a dispute.

Fourth, act as a team and try to pay the debt first which is borne by either of the partners.

Fifth, try to limit the use of credit cards. Do not end up in unnecessary debt burden such as which will have adverse effect on your financial life. Use the credit cards wisely and when it is most required.

This way, the married couples will lead a good and effective financial life.

By the end of such a wise suggestion by the old man I was able to understand the financial secrets for a healthy marriage life. I thanked the old man and started heading towards my home. Now I have double reason to celebrate- one is my brother’s wedding and second, he will lead a smooth financial married  life!
